Nella città di Changsha situata nella Cina centrale, è stato costruito un grattacielo in soli 19 giorni denominato “Mini sky city”. Nel 2015, una grande impresa di costruzioni cinese ha edificato il palazzo usando dei moduli prefabbricati; la loro preparazione avvenuta in fabbrica, essendo un modulo da tre piani ciascuno ha richiesto quattro mesi di tempo. Quest’ultimi sono stati assemblati rapidamente al di sopra delle fondamenta, con un ritmo di tre piani al giorno.
La sua struttura, di cinquantasette piani è costituita principalmente da acciaio ed è stata realizzata principalmente per resistere ad eventi sismici fino ad un’intensità di magnitudo 9. Essa comprende diciannove sale, ottocento appartamenti che fungono come residenza per lavoratori dell’azienda stessa, e uno spazio destinato agli uffici che ha una capienza di quattromila persone. Non solo, il grattacielo presenta anche diciannove cortili interni, i quali vengono utilizzati come aree comuni. A causa dell’estrema prossimità ad un aeroporto l’altezza del palazzo è stata ridotta, infatti la soluzione iniziale prevedeva un edificio di novantasette piani.
Il grattacielo non vanta solo la rapida costruzione ma è definito anche un emblema di sostenibilità; infatti a questo proposito, soprattutto nell’involucro esterno sono stati eseguiti molti interventi. Ad esempio le finestre presentano un quadruplo strato di vetro, al fine di minimizzare le dispersioni di calore nell’ambiente. Per migliorare la qualità dell’aria, che all’interno risulta cento volte più pulita rispetto a quella esterna, nella struttura dell’edificio sono stati inclusi tre filtri differenti. Inoltre l’utilizzo di moduli prefabbricati ha permesso di ridurre le emissioni di CO2 derivate dal trasporto di cemento ed altri materiali.
L’impresa, la quale si è vantata di essere la più veloce al mondo, crede che il sistema a moduli sia la più resistente e la più veloce per l’edificazione di grattacieli che essendo molto alti, sono costituiti da numerosi piani.

“MINI SKY CITY” THE RECORD SKYSCRAPER
In the city of Changsha in central China, a skyscraper called “Mini sky city” was built in just 19 days. In 2015, a large Chinese construction company built the building using prefabricated modules; their preparation took place in the factory, being a three-storey module each, took four months to complete. The latter were quickly assembled above the foundations, at a rate of three floors a day.
Its fifty-seven-storey structure consists mainly of steel and was built primarily to withstand seismic events up to an intensity of magnitude 9. It includes nineteen halls, eight hundred apartments that serve as residences for the company’s workers, and an office space that has a capacity of four thousand people. Not only that, the skyscraper also has nineteen internal courtyards, which are used as common areas. Due to the extreme proximity to an airport the height of the building was reduced, in fact the initial solution was to have a building of ninety-seven floors.
The skyscraper not only boasts of its rapid construction but is also defined as an emblem of sustainability; in fact, in this regard, especially in the external envelope many interventions have been carried out. For example, windows have a quadruple layer of glass in order to minimize heat loss into the environment. To improve the quality of the air, which is one hundred times cleaner inside than outside, three different filters were included in the building’s structure. In addition, the use of prefabricated modules has made it possible to reduce CO2 emissions from the transport of cement and other materials.
The company, which has boasted of being the fastest in the world, believes that the module system is the strongest and fastest for the construction of skyscrapers that are very high and consist of several floors.
