È accaduto a Vetlanda, in Svezia. Un uomo di circa 20 anni, armato di coltello, ha ferito 8 persone in cinque punti diversi della città. Alla fine, è stato fortunatamente fermato da un agente che lo ha colpito ad una gamba con uno sparo di pistola. Ora si trova ricoverato in ospedale e non essendo in condizioni gravi la polizia aspetta di poterlo interrogare presto. Tra le vittime sono purtroppo presenti tre persone, le quali sono state ferite in modo grave e in questo momento si trovano in pericolo di vita.
Inizialmente l’attacco è stato classificato come tentato omicidio, ma non si esclude che possa essersi trattato di un atto terroristico, nonostante non ci siano abbastanza informazioni sul motivo che ha spinto l’uomo ad agire, sparando a otto innocenti. Per ora si sa solo che l’uomo è un residente del posto già noto alle forze dell’ordine per reati minori.
L’allerta è scattata intorno alle 15 di mercoledì 3 marzo, dopo aver ricevuto segnalazioni di un uomo armato di coltello che stava attaccando diverse persone nel centro della città di Vetlanda, in Svezia. L’uomo prima di essere fermato dagli agenti di polizia è riuscito a colpire ben sette volte. Successivamente decine di pattuglie hanno sono sopraggiunti sul luogo, che è stato poi chiuso, per raccogliere le prove e le testimonianze necessarie.
Il primo ministro svedese Stefan Lofven, in attesa di chiarimenti sulla dinamica e sul movente del terribile atto, ha condannato questo gesto esortando tutti ad: ‘ inviare un pensiero alle persone colpite dalla violenza e agli uomini e alle donne dell’assistenza sanitaria, della polizia e del comune che lavorano per prendersi cura dei feriti e ripristinare la sicurezza’.
La Svezia non è però nuova agli attacchi terroristici, infatti nel dicembre 2010, due esplosioni colpirono il centro di Stoccolma, provocando un morto e due feriti.

The attack was initially classified as attempted murder, but it is not excluded that it may have been a terrorist act, although there is not enough information on why the man acted, shooting at eight innocent people. So far all we know is that the man is a local resident already known to law enforcement for minor offenses.
The alert was issued around 3pm on Wednesday 3 March, after receiving reports of a man armed with a knife who was attacking several people in the city center of Vetlanda, Sweden. The man before being stopped by police officers managed to strike seven times. Subsequently dozens of patrols arrived on the site, which was then closed, to collect the necessary evidence and testimonies.
Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven, while awaiting clarification on the dynamics and motive of the terrible act, condemned this gesture by urging everyone to: ‘send a thought to those affected by violence and to men and women in health care, of the police and the municipality working to take care of the wounded and restore security’.
However, Sweden is not new to terrorist attacks, indeed in December 2010, two explosions struck downtown Stockholm, leaving one dead and two wounded.
