TRADUZIONE INGLESE

In spite of the uncertainty caused by the pandemic, last week the seventy-first edition of the Sanremo Festival has been started. It is an Italian music festival held every year in Sanremo in which the greatest exponents of Italian music participate.

Amadeus is presenting, but this year there are no spectators in the theater: only empty armchairs and fake applause that “like to think they’re made from home”.

The special guest of the opening episode is Alessia Bonari: a Milan nurse who became a symbol of the fight against coronavirus and of doctors who placed in the front line against this invisible enemy. Alessia becomes the emblem of all this thanks to a post published on Instagram 9 March 2020 in which he shows himself in front of a mirror with his face full of bruises made by the mask following a long day’s work spent in the covid department. Below the post, arrived at over a million likes, writes “ What I ask whoever is reading this post is not to frustrate the effort we are making, to be selfless, to be at home, and so protect the weakest. We young people are not immune to coronavirus, we too can get sick, or worse, we can make them sick. I can’t afford the luxury of going back to my house in quarantine, I have to go to work and do my part. You do yours, I ask you please.” The important message it sends from the first days of lockdown, through her post, she takes part in the inauguration of the festival and parade on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival.

A very meaningful way, this, to start this new and very different edition of the most important music festival in Italy.
