The music of Today

Music is present in everyone’s life regardless of age or gender, it is a means of communication capable of involving the listener above all emotionally. Teenagers, for example, see music as a kind of refuge, a means to relax and a simple and pleasant way to withdraw from the world in the most difficult moments, in those moments when you don’t want to hear from anyone and just want to get away from real problems. Music is therefore relaxation, rest and serenity, but also noise, fun and wildness, just think of the music in discos, with a volume so high that your ears ring when you leave. Music has always been present in the life of men throughout history, and has many different genres depending on the popular tradition, the geographical area and the era in which it is composed. Everyone likes music also for its variety of styles that have always involved listeners from all over the world. There are more ways of relating to the musical world, in fact there is the listener, who enjoys the immediacy of music more passively, and the musician, who instead participates in the creation of the music itself and expresses with it what he wants to communicate to the world. Music is one of the deepest forms of art and one that best represents us. How many times has it happened to hear a song and recognize yourself? This is precisely the power of
music, to get straight to the point and arouse emotions that are hidden somewhere inside us, that’s why music is part of us.
