The redemption of Justin Bieber

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is back more energized than ever with the release of his sixth album “Justice”, almost a year after the release of “Changes”. The latter despite the hype that was created around him, was not able to have the same results as his previous albums, but it is still important for the singer because he seemed now at the end of that search for forgiveness that he had been chasing for years. In 2018 he married the model Hailey Baldwin and seems to have brought light into the tunnel from which Justin Drew Bieber was trying to get out.

The pandemic has given him the opportunity to focus on his person and also on his music. At the end of 2020 he released “Holy”, “Lonely” and “Anyone”, announcing the release of a new album at the beginning of the new year. On March 19, 2021, “Justice” was released: “I made this album with the aim of making music that could bring comfort and create songs in which people could find themselves and to which they could connect to feel less alone. Suffering, injustice, and pain can make people feel helpless. Music is a good way to remind each other that we are not alone. Music can be a way to relate to others and to connect with each other.” (Source: sky news).
2020 was certainly a bad year for the whole world; with the outbreak of the pandemic, the racial injustices that happened in America like the murder of George Floyd and the two Grammy winner is aware of it. But probably, this album isn’t just for the whole world, to which Bieber said: “I hope you’re okay. It is an absurd time for everyone”. In the tracks, in fact, it is possible to highlight how the twenty-seven-year-old is still seeking the forgiveness che so desired after an adolescence spent between fame and money.
The passages are full of quotations, like those about the bible in “Holy”, and especially in many texts, words pronounced by Martin Luther King seem to appear.
As “RollingStone” magazine states, Justin has grown up. His songs are sweet and sincere and tell of how his wife, his Muse; saved him. The album debuted at the top of the “Billboard 200”; chart on March 29 and went gold. Track number 5 “Peaches” debuted at # 1 on the “Billboard hot 100” chart.
The singer has decided to involve many artists in this project such as: Benny Blanco, Chance The Rapper, the well-known Khalid and the emerging The Kid LAROI and Dominic Fike.
