L’ambiente prima e durante la pandemia
Una grande problematica affrontata dalla nostra generazione, soprattutto negli ultimi anni, è quella ambientale.
I problemi ambientali sono causati dal rapporto conflittuale tra l’uomo e l’ecosistema, che è ormai a rischio di estinzione. Tra questi ricordiamo come più significativi l’inquinamento, il buco dell’ozono e l’effetto serra. Fin dall’ antichità l’ uomo ha cercato di rendere l’ambiente un luogo sicuro ed accogliente, ma negli ultimi secoli qualcosa è cambiato…. Attraverso il processo tecnologico e lo sviluppo della società, l’ uomo ha iniziato a considerare le risorse della terra come inesauribili, sebbene non lo siano, mettendo a rischio il nostro ecosistema e dunque anche la nostra vita.
Per contrastare tali problematiche e “aprire gli occhi delle persone” sono state presentate diverse iniziative, tra cui il Friday For Future. Sviluppatosi da pochi anni, il Fridays For Future (noto anche come sciopero scolastico per il clima) è un movimento ambientalista internazionale di protesta composto dagli studenti che decidono di non frequentare le lezioni scolastiche per partecipare a manifestazioni in cui chiedono e rivendicano azioni atte a prevenire il riscaldamento globale e il cambiamento climatico. L’organizzazione della protesta è iniziata quando la svedese Greta Thunberg ha organizzato tutti i giorni del mese di agosto 2018 un’azione di protesta al di fuori del Parlamento svedese con un cartello con su scritto “Sciopero scolastico per il clima”. In Italia ci sono stati diversi scioperi e l’ultimo ha contato circa un milione di persone in 180 città diverse. In totale in tutto il mondo hanno partecipato sette milioni e seicentomila persone e molti altri seguono e in futuro seguiranno il suo esempio perché si è capito che ciò per cui stava lottando questa ragazzina è nell’interesse di tutti, perché questo è il nostro pianeta e sta a noi proteggerlo.
Durante la pandemia si sono verificati significativi cambiamenti per flora e fauna, in particolare nei periodi di lockdown. Gli animali, infatti, hanno iniziato a muoversi liberamente negli spazi urbani, nei cieli e nei mari, poiché indisturbati. In questo modo il paradigma “uomo- natura” è stato invertito dimostrando che la natura può sopravvivere all’uomo poiché in poco tempo è stata in grado di risanare le ferite inflitte dall’uomo e di rigenerare il suo habitat.
Ciò nonostante, al termine del lockdown la situazione è tornata pressoché uguale a quella iniziale, dunque è il momento che l’uomo rifletta!

A major problem faced by our generation, especially in recent years, is that of the environment.
Environmental problems are caused by the conflict between man and the ecosystem, which is now at risk of extinction. Among these we remember as more significant the pollution, the ozone hole and the greenhouse effect. Since ancient times man has tried to make the environment a safe and welcoming place, but in the last centuries something has changed… Through the technological process and the development of society, man began to regard the earth’s resources as inexhaustible, although they are not, putting at risk our ecosystem and therefore also our life.
To counter these problems and “open people’s eyes” were presented several initiatives, including Friday For Future. Developed a few years ago, the Fridays For Future (also known as school climate strike) is an international environmental movement of protest composed of students who decide not to attend school classes to participate in events in which they request and claim actions to prevent global warming and climate change. The organization of the protest began when the Swedish Greta Thunberg organized every day of August 2018 an action of protest outside the Swedish Parliament with a sign saying “School Climate Strike”. In Italy there were several strikes and the last counted about a million people in 180 different cities. In total worldwide participated seven million and six hundred thousand people and many others followed and in the future will follow his example because it is understood that what this little girl was fighting for is in everyone’s interest, because this is our planet and it’s up to us to protect him.
During the pandemic there were significant changes in flora and fauna, in particular in periods of lockdown. The animals, in fact, have begun to move freely in urban spaces, in the skies and in the seas, because they are undisturbed. In this way the paradigm “man-nature” has been reversed by showing that nature can survive man because in a short time she was able to heal the wounds inflicted by man and to regenerate the environment.
Nevertheless, at the end of the lockdown the situation has returned almost equal to the initial one, then it is time for man to reflect!
