Johnny Depp

John Christopher Depp was born on June 9, 1963 in Owensboro, a small industrial center in Kentucky. He is the youngest of four brothers and two sisters. His father John Christopher More Depp Senior is a city engineer and his mother Betty Sue Palmer works as a waitress. The family of Depp has mainly Irish, German, French and Cherokee descent.

Johnny’s maternal grandmother, Minnie, was a Native American Cherokee and his father also has distant relations with this people.
As a child he is often close to his beloved grandfather, who transmits his passion for gospel and music, but dies shortly after Johnny’s seventh birthday.
Shocked by the death of his grandfather and the constant displacement that prevents him from finding friends, Depp becomes a closed boy, grumpy and more inclined to drug testing than to study.
In the church of his uncle, a Presbyterian pastor, Depp discovers music, thanks to the gospel played by his cousin.

At the age of 12 he began playing guitar. Self-taught, he founds his first garage rock band called The Flame, with which he performs in numerous Florida night-clubs

In 1983, in search of a recording contract, the band left Florida and went to Los Angeles, but did not become famous and Depp, always short of money, arranged as he can find work as a bricklayer, gas station, mechanic, printer and telephone vendor of pens and advertising space. Only twenty years old, he marries the makeup artist Lori Ann Allison. In 1985 he starred in the comedy film Posizioni promettenti and right after in 21 Jump Street.

He left the 21 Jump Street series three years later, and the first film he made while still starring in the series was Cry Baby in 1990.
In 1998 she began a relationship with French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis. In 1999, his first daughter, Lily-Rose Melody, was born. On November 19, 1999, he received a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On April 9, 2002, Depp-Paradis had their second child, Jack John Christopher Depp III.

In June 2012, after 14 years of cohabitation, the two break up.
After a series of other films, in 2003, he played Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean”, a series of fantasy swashbuckler films produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and based on Walt Disney’s theme park attraction of the same name.
This series of films runs from 2003 to 2017.
He received his first Oscar nomination for this role.
In 2004 he received an Oscar nomination for the role of Scottish author Peter Pan James Matthew Barrie “Finding Neverland ” with Kate Winslet is also in 2007 with the title role in Sweeney Todd – The Evil Barber of Fleet Street.

From 2012 to 2016, he had an affair with actress Amber Heard, whom she met on the set of the film The Rum Diary. On February 3, 2015, the two married.
In May 2016, however, after only 15 months of marriage, Heard filed for divorce from Depp claiming physical assault when he was drunk. The story is controversial and they finally divorce in January 2017.
In 2019, Depp accused his ex-wife of adultery and defamation and filed a lawsuit demanding total compensation of $50 million.
These accusations will lead to a decline in the career of the well-known artist and the alleged exclusion of some films such as “Pirates of the Caribbean”
