Prostitution

Prostitution, from the Latin “prostituere “, is a practice whose genesis is lost at the dawn of time. It is in fact an expression of an androcentric vision, typical of archaic societies, in which man was considered a superior and dominant being. Today prostitution in Italy is widespread. on the other hand, it prohibits the exploitation of child prostitution. Therefore, the conduct described by the incriminating law is followed by whoever puts the customer in contact with the prostitute or whoever allows her to habitually frequent a certain place. On the other hand, we could attempt an effective contrast to the phenomenon, treating the dysfunction of a sick society from within, of which prostitution is only a symptom. It could be objected that some women prefer prostitution to other jobs, because it is more profitable, as in the case of luxury escorts, but this is a marginal percentage and exploitation is not excluded. So, perhaps, rather than sanctioning the prostitute for clothing contrary to morality, the customers who are the driving force behind the whole mechanism could be prosecuted.
