Childhood in the time of Covid-19

Children in the time of Covid: the youngest lived and are living the difficulties imposed by the pandemic

Children have more problems than the adults and their childhood is more complicated than ours, because they have to respect the rules and the laws setted by the governament. Today kids don’t have the same physical contact and sociality because they have to do without many things that are important to every kid: cuddles, hugs and kisses and meeting their relatives when they want.

Pandemic caused differents physical and psychological problems for example obesity, bulimia and anorexia…

The most frequently problem is obesity: when the children are bored they eat a lot of food to spend their time, fighting the boredom and this is one of many things that they can do without wearing a mask. Brcause of these problems, many children have been forced to go to a psychologist.

A lot of children don’t know how to be friendly with other people because they haven’t had the possibility to play with them, and talk to them about what they have in common and, in this difficult time, they have never been to a park or zoo that are important for the children because there they can start to learn something while having fun and staying in the open air and also starting to make friends.

Another problem is the school !

For Children, now, this isn’t a problem but when they will grow up they will understand that they are wasting the most beautifull years of their lives: the school years. Because at school they learn how to live and if they don’t go to school they will never have the solid basis because Remote Teaching/Learning isn’t the same thing as traditionalteaching/learning. They will not learn how to socialize with someone else face to face and not only through a camera.

IN CONCLUSION: This situation is creating a new generation with lots of problems; their future will be different, they will live with feelings of distrust towards reality and towards other people. A generation that will not know how to approach and communicate face to face but only in front of a technological screen.

If everything changes also their future will change in a good way.
