It should have been a normal birthday party but unfortunately the evening did not end as S.V. had hoped.
Last evening S.V of her and her husband D.L were celebrating the birthday of her father and although the relationship between the couple had now cracked, that evening they decided to participate in the event. After spending the evening in family harmony, a few too many drinks taken by D.L unfortunately turned a party into a nightmare night. While returning to their home in Zafferana, the man clouded by the fumes of alcohol began to beat the woman by making her hit her head repeatedly against her window, not sparing slaps in the face, despite her guidance.
The woman, unfortunately not new to these attitudes, managed to keep calm and as soon as they arrived at their home, proposing to her husband to stay a few minutes in the car to smoke a cigarette and calm down, she was able to get into the house and take advantage of the absence of the man, he managed to give the alarm to the carabinieri.
This is the reconstruction provided by the agents who, finding clear signs of trauma in the woman's face, arrested D.L who was locked up in the Piazza Lanza prison as ordered by the competent judicial authority.
Yet another episode of gender-based violence that we hope not to have to tell anymore.
