Le religioni ci hanno sempre insegnato ad essere buoni con gli altri ad aiutare il prossimo ed a amarlo, ma come abbiamo visto in molti anni di storia e come stiamo vedendo anche ora in altrettanti paesi, le guerre per determinare la religione più importante non si è ancora fermata. Ma esiste davvero una religione che non farebbe male neanche ad una mosca e che è totalmente pacifica? Ebbene sì, ed è la religione dei seguaci di Jina, un maestro spirituale indiano contemporaneo di Buddha, soprannominata “Giainismo”. Questo maestro ha educato i suoi seguaci alla Non-violenza, infatti, esso pensava che la perfezione umana si raggiungesse solo attraverso l’essere pacifico. La violenza che viene denunciata in questa religione è sia quella fisica, torture, risse, guerre che quella di pensiero o di parole, parolacce, insulti e anche quella di far commettere atti violenti ad altre persone.
Questo pensiero della non-violenza, viene applicato, oltre che alla persone, anche agli animali, piante fino alla forme più piccole e non visibili presenti degli elementi dell’acqua e del fuoco. I seguaci di questa religione sono monaci e monache che vestono sempre di bianco, simbolo di purezza, sono scalzi e vanno in giro con una scopa che usano per pulire il terreno per non calpestare inavvertitamente un insetto.
Oltre ad usare sempre una sciarpa, a volte indossano anche una mascherina per evitare di ingoiare insetti, alcuni di loro sono talmente vegani che filtrano anche l’acqua per evitare di bere dei microrganismi presenti in essa.
I seguaci del giainismo sono sottoposti a 5 giuramenti, che non possono infrangere:
- Non violenza (ahinsa) rispettano ogni forma di vita
- Verità (satya)
- Castità (brahmacharya)
- Non-possedere (aparigrah)
Questa religione la si trova principalmente nel Panjab, nel Gujarat, nel Bengala e in generale in tutte le grandi città dell’India. I seguaci si occupano principalmente di lavori che non richiedono l’uccisione di animali e anche lo sfruttamento del terreno. Le religioni sono tante e ognuna ha la propria caratteristica che le rende speciali.

The followers of this religion are monks and nuns who always wear white, a symbol of purity, are barefoot and go around with a broom that they use to clean the ground so as not to inadvertently step on an insect.
In addition to always using a scarf, sometimes they also wear a mask to avoid swallowing insects, some of them are so vegan that they also filter the water to avoid drinking the microorganisms present in it.
Followers of Jainism are subjected to 5 oaths, which they cannot break:
