A video that came into the possession of Johnny Depp lawyers would clear the actor of the accusation of violence against his ex-wife Amber Heard, at least on one occasion. According to reports from the Daily Mail, the video would defeat the version of events told by the actress in court. This is a video made with a bodycam, which is a camera applied to the uniform of one of the policemen who intervened in the star’s home after a quarrel with his wife. To the 911 agents who intervened on the spot, the actress had told them of being attacked in the kitchen, violently beaten with a phone. She also added that her ex-husband had pulled whole locks of her hair. She reported that the quarrel had taken place in the kitchen and that the location had been devastated by the actor’s fury.
But a video, shot in May 2016, would not confirm the actress’s version. The bodycam of one of the agents on the spot doesn’t show any objects out of place in the kitchen, the location in which the woman claimed to have been attacked by the ex-husband. Nothing in the shoot would suggest that that room was the scene of a violent quarrel between two people. This is an important proof because it would bring down the version of events told by the actress and her friends.
Adam Waldman, Johnny Depp’s attorney, told how the 2016 footage would prove: “Amber Heard and her friends described a chaotic and messy crime scene but the newly released by LAPD bodycam videos show unequivocally that the ‘attic was completely intact and that their testimony was another great lie” he says.
