Catcalling e disordini, ecco le ultime polemiche
Protagonista delle testate sull’argomento negli ultimi giorni è stata Aurora Ramazzotti che in un video sul suo profilo instagram si è sfogata contro i commenti sessisti ed inappropriati ricevuti mentre faceva jogging.
“Possibile che nel 2021 succeda ancora? Appena mi tolgo la giacca mentre corro devo sentire fischi e altre schifezze. Mi fa schifo e se sei una persona che lo fa, mi fai schifo” dichiara la ragazza.
Ma che cos’è il catcalling di cui tutti parlano, cosa significa?
Si tratta di un termine inglese con cui vengono identificate le molestie verbali, i fischi e gli atteggiamenti sessisti che molte donne al giorno d’oggi, anzi ancora oggi, nel 2021 subiscono ripetutamente per strada.
Questo fenomeno di per sé, non costituisce un reato e non esiste una norma di legge contro questo tipo di condotta ma può essere punito, secondo il codice penale, chiunque rechi disturbo o qualsiasi tipo di molestia in un luogo pubblico.
Questa questione non va banalizzata poiché una percentuale che va oltre il 75% delle donne italiane subisce ogni giorno avances non gradite, che possono essere considerate da molti come semplici complimenti od atteggiamenti innocui ma che invece causano nelle donne ansia, depressione e bassa autostima, si sentono minacciate e spesso spaventate poichè è facile che a questi gesti ne seguano altri ben più gravi come la cronaca ogni giorno ci insegna.

“Is it possible that this will still happen in 2021? As soon as I take off my jacket while running I have to hear whistles and other crap. It sucks me and if you are someone who does it, you make me sick ”the girl declares.
But what is catcalling everyone is talking about, what does it mean?
It is an English term that identifies the verbal harassment, boos and sexist attitudes that many women nowadays, indeed still today, suffer repeatedly on the street in 2021.
This phenomenon in itself does not constitute a crime and there is no law against this type of conduct but, according to the criminal code, anyone who disturbs or any type of harassment in a public place can be punished.
This question should not be trivialized since a percentage that goes over 75% of Italian women every day undergoes unwelcome advances, which can be considered by many as simple compliments or harmless attitudes but which instead cause anxiety, depression and low self-esteem in women, they feel threatened and often frightened as it is easy for these gestures to be followed by other much more serious ones, as the news teaches us every day.
