Papa Francesco: “ Sì alle unioni civili tra coppie gay”
Lo scorso ottobre, in un documentario in uscita per la Festa di Roma, Papa Francesco ha dato una svolta cruciale a un percorso che la Chiesa aveva ormai avviato da tempo. Il papa affermò che le coppie omosessuali sono composte da figli di dio, che hanno diritto ad essere una famiglia, e che necessitano dunque di una legge sulle unioni civili che le tuteli.
Da anni la Chiesa rifletteva sul bisogno di una legislazione ad hoc, che tutelasse a livello giuridico le coppie omosessuali, e le parole del Papa hanno sottoscritto ufficialmente la strada verso il progresso.
Papa Francesco si rivolse non solo all’Italia, ma a tutti i paesi del mondo, che ancora necessitano di fare qualche passo avanti nella lotta alla discriminazione.
Le affermazioni toccanti del Papa hanno dato un barlume di speranza alla comunità LGBTQ+ e hanno riavvicinato alla Chiesa coloro che per lungo tempo si sono sentiti fuori posto e giudicati in quanto omosessuali.
Tuttavia il responso della Congregazione per la Dottrina della Fede è stato immediato e ha stroncato le speranze della comunità gay.
Le affermazioni di Papa Francesco e la faida interna alla Chiesa hanno suscitato scalpore a livello mondiale. Sono molti i personaggi pubblici che si sono espressi, a partire da Cecchi Paone fino ad Elton John.
La star Mondiale ha accusato la Chiesa di ipocrisia, dopo che questa ha affermato che la benedizione di un matrimonio omosessuale costituisce un rimando alla benedizione nuziale tra coppie eterosessuali, pur avendo tuttavia finanziato il film biografico sul cantante “Rocketman”, che tratta proprio della sua riscoperta e liberazione a seguito del matrimonio col compagno David.
Altre celebrità, come Ermal Meta e Fabio Canino, hanno espresso il loro dissenso con la decisione ultima della Chiesa, ricordando a tutti i membri della comunità LGBTQ+ che l’amore non ha bisogno di essere approvato.
Pope Francis: “Yes to civil unions of gay couples”
Last October, in a documentary that had to be released for the Feast of Rome, Pope Francis gave a crucial turning point to a path that the Church had started long ago. The pope affirmed that homosexual couples are made up of sons of God, who have the right to be a family, and therefore need a law on civil unions that protects them.
For years the Church had been reflecting on the need for ad hoc legislation, which would protect homosexual couples on a juridical level, and the Pope’s words officially signed the road to progress.
Pope Francis addressed not only Italy, but all the countries of the world, which still need to take some steps forward in the fight against discrimination.
The Pope’s touching statements gave a glimmer of hope to the LGBTQ + community and brought those who for a long time felt out of place and judged as homosexuals closer to the Church.
However, the response from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith was immediate and crushed the hopes of the gay community.
The statements of Pope Francis and the internal feud in the Church have caused a sensation worldwide. There are many public figures who have expressed themselves, starting from Cecchi Paone to Elton John.
The world star accused the Church of hypocrisy, after it affirmed that the blessing of a homosexual marriage is a reference to the nuptial blessingof heterosexual couples, despite having nevertheless financed the biographical film on the singer “Rocketman”, which deals with his own rediscovery and release due to the marriage with her partner David.
Other celebrities, such as Ermal Meta and Fabio Canino, have expressed their dissent with the Church’s ultimate decision, reminding all members of the LGBTQ + community that love does not need to be approved.
